Mary Washington Healthcare Adopts Medpricer's Purchased Services Solutions
Medpricer's flexible solutions arm MWHC with strategies to reach savings goals
(April 24, 2018)

GUILFORD, Conn., April 24, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Medpricer, the leading purchased services cost management solution for the healthcare industry, announces today a new partnership with Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC). Medpricer's mSource platform and analytics capabilities will play an integral part in helping MWHC broaden its souring strategy. While MWHC's sourcing team has successfully accessed cost savings through sourcing traditional purchased services in the past, Medpricer's solutions will aid them in identifying more niche purchased services categories for further savings.

With access to Medpricer's suite of RFP templates, MWHC will begin evaluating other categories outside of their current scope to reach savings. Medpricer's category-specific RFP templates will aid the MWHC sourcing team directly by reducing the time to develop RFPs and evaluate proposals. Furthermore, MWHC will leverage Medpricer's flexible software, information products, and service solutions to implement an end-to-end purchased services system.

"Our sourcing team has saved MWHC millions in the past being laser focused on traditional sourcing categories," explained Vice President of Supply Chain, Alan Edwards of Mary Washington Healthcare. "We realize we need to expand that focus into the purchased services arena and add additional tools to meet our future savings goals. We feel Medpricer can help us do just that and help us meet or exceed our annual savings goal of $5,000,000."

"Our expertise across hundreds of categories position us best to help Mary Washington Healthcare identify additional savings opportunities. Medpricer's solutions will create a scalable process for their sourcing team," said Chris Gormley, CEO of Medpricer. "The flexibility within Medpricer's product and service options allow us to provide the healthcare network with a complete, comprehensive purchased services system."
